The 16th International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA 2011) offers a space for exchange of ideas and experiences, among delegates and key actors in particular, to the response on the HIV/AIDS and STI’s intervention through the community village. which avails a platform for PLHIV, key populations, community leaders, and their partners to showcase their programs, services, best practices and share experiences and to network so as to own,scale-up and sustain the response to HIV. It further creates a forum to appreciate and exchange African arts and traditions in relation to AIDS and STIs.

Submission of abstracts for the ICASA 2011 conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention has been organized in the following five scientific program tracks:

Conference abstract writing e-course
Authored by the editors of the Journal of the International AIDS Society, this e-course is designed to support the preparation, writing and submission of abstracts to scientific conferences. The course provides examples and short exercises for interactive learning, as well as key take-home messages and a summary overview in form of a self-use checklist. Access to the course is free through the Health[e]Foundation website: http://www.healthefoundation.eu/hiv/index.vm?app=hiv. Future modules are envisaged to extend the scientific writing e-course to offer further interactive training in manuscript writing and publication practices.
